Use Mollie as payment provider

Connect Mollie as your Firmhouse payment provider for one-time and recurring subscription payments, with iDEAL, SEPA, credit card, and more support.

Mollie payments are the easiest to set up if you want to open a new payment provider account for your subscription project or if you already work with Mollie on your existing webshop.

Linking Mollie to your Firmhouse Project

Steps

1. First, open a Mollie account if you don’t have one already.
2. Within Mollie, find the API keys in your dashboard by navigating to Developers > API keys. Here you’ll see the Live API key and the Test API key of all your website profiles. Click on Copy to use the API keys.
3. In your Firmhouse project, navigate to Settings > Payments, select Mollie, and add your Mollie API key.

To let customers start a subscription with a one-time payment method such as iDEAL | Wero or Bancontact, you must also enable SEPA Direct Debit as a payment method in your Mollie dashboard, on the same profile you connect to Firmhouse. After the initial payment, Mollie creates a SEPA Direct Debit mandate for the customer’s bank account, and Firmhouse uses that mandate to charge the recurring payments. Without SEPA Direct Debit enabled, no mandate is created and recurring payments will fail. See Recurring charges for iDEAL and SEPA for details.
