# Use Mollie as payment provider
> Connect Mollie as your Firmhouse payment provider for one-time and recurring subscription payments, with iDEAL, SEPA, credit card, and more support.
Mollie payments are the easiest to set up if you want to open a new payment provider account for your subscription project or if you already work with Mollie on your existing webshop.
## Linking Mollie to your Firmhouse Project
### Steps
1. First, [open a Mollie account](https://www.mollie.com/en) if you don't have one already.
2. Within Mollie, find the API keys in your dashboard by navigating to **Developers > API keys**. Here you'll see the Live API key and the Test API key of all your website profiles. Click on **Copy** to use the API keys.
3. In your Firmhouse project, navigate to **Settings > Payments**, select **Mollie**, and add your Mollie API key.
To let customers start a subscription with a one-time payment method such as **iDEAL | Wero** or **Bancontact**, you must also enable **SEPA Direct Debit** as a payment method in your Mollie dashboard, on the same profile you connect to Firmhouse. After the initial payment, Mollie creates a SEPA Direct Debit mandate for the customer's bank account, and Firmhouse uses that mandate to charge the recurring payments.
